Rebecca Martin Fagerholm cinema femme short film fest 

Managing Editor of Cinema Femme magazine and the Festival Director of Cinema Femme Short Film Fest. She founded her publication in 2018 because she wanted to create a platform for female and non-binary voices in the film community. She has hosted film screenings in Chicago, led virtual panel discussions, Q&As, and has covered festivals like the Chicago International Film Festival, Sundance, Tribeca, and the Bentonville Film Festival. Rebecca is the editor in chief for THE CALL SHEET, a magazine that launched in January 2023, a collaboration between Cinema Femme and Camera Ambassador.

Christy LeMaster (she/they) chicago international film festival

Programmer, educator, and producer interested in collectivity, platform, and collaborative processes. She is currently the Director of CineYouth and Shorts Lead Programmer for the Chicago International Film Festival. Previously she served as Artistic Director of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Parkway Theatre and the Maryland Film Festival from 2020-2023. LeMaster worked as Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago from 2017-19, organizing programs and exhibitions for the Commons, the museum’s site for art and civic engagement.  In 2008 she co-founded Chicago’s cooperatively-helmed microcinema, the Nightingale and oversaw operations at the space until 2018.  LeMaster also taught media theory at Columbia College Chicago, has been a movie critic on WBEZ, and an editor of CINE-FILE.info. Her writing has been published by INCITE Journal of Experimental Media, Brooklyn Rail, and Green Lantern Press. 

Ben Reiser wisconsin film fest 

(BFA-Filmmaking, SUNY Purchase) is the director of operations for the Wisconsin Film Festival, as well as the head of programming for the Wisconsin’s Own section of the festival. Ben also works for UW Cinematheque as a programmer. Ben is a filmmaker, songwriter and musician, and in addition to his duties as operations director and programmer, Ben has been creating the festival trailer and written the festival theme song most years since 2014.

Raul Benitez chicago underground film festival

Film programmer in Chicago for over 15 years. Raul currently is the Senior Programmer at the Midwest Film Festival, and the After Dark programmer at the Chicago International Film Festival. Raul also programs at Comfort Station Logan Square, Chicago Underground Film Festival, Full Spectrum Features, and the Nightingale Cinema. Raul has been named a Chicago Film gem by New City Chicago for 2015,17,19 and in 2023 Raul was inducted to the Film Gem Hall of Fame. Raul was also named an Esteemed Artist by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and received a DCASE grant for his Chicago/Mexico City Filmmaker exchange program.

Greg Sorvig heartland international, tribeca film festival, indy shorts 

Greg is the Artistic Director for Heartland Film and its Academy Award®-qualifying Indy Shorts and Heartland Film Festival events in Indianapolis and is also Senior Associate Programmer with the Tribeca Festival shorts team. Greg regularly serves as a festival jury member, industry panelist, and grant reader with Stage 32, IDA, NEA, and more. Greg was recently honored with the Spirit of Windrider Award at the 2024 Windrider Summit at Sundance.

Paul Sloop cleveland international film festival

Paul Sloop has been the lead programmer of short films for the Oscar qualifying Cleveland International Film Festival since 2003.  He is also the Director of Programming at Film Pittsburgh and the Director of Programming at the Cordillera International Film Festival.  Two of the three festivals for which Paul programs were named to the Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by Moviemaker Magazine this summer. Paul is head over heels in love with his wife of nearly 23 years, Sarah Sloop, who is a PA-C in trauma for the Cleveland Clinic.  Paul and Sarah live in Mentor, OH and have eight children, seven girls and one boy.

Among the most prestigious international short film festivals in the world,  LA Shorts is accredited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences OSCAR®, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts BAFTA and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (ACCT) presenters of the Canadian Screen Awards and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain (Goya Awards). Now in its 28th year, LA Shorts is the longest running short film festival in Los Angeles.68 participating filmmakers have earned Academy Award nominations, with 15 filmmakers taking home the Oscar. The festival annually screens over 350 films and attracts over 10,000 attendees each year including Hollywood industry professionals and emerging independent filmmakers.
