Establishment - The department of Mathematics was established in 1993 with undergraduate level teaching initially annual pattern affilated to R.T.M, Nagpur University, Nagpur but from 2012-2013 the university has changed ie Gondwana University, Gadchiroli with semester pattern syllabus.

The postgraduate dpartment was started in 2000 with annual pattern and then after from session 2012-2013 semester pattern start with five paper and internal assessment

The department is recognized as Centre for Higher Learning and Research in Mathematics from the year 2012 due to this students from rural areas also able to do research. From our centre first student was awarded P.hD in mathematics among all affilliated colleges in Gondawana University Gadchiroli .
