DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING
The Department of Computer Engineering at D.Y. Patil School Of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2011 with an intake of 60 for Under Graduate course. The department was enhanced to conduct Postgraduate course with an intake of 24 for ME [Computer Engineering] in 2012. The Department provides an outstanding state-of-the-art learning environment complemented by excellent teaching faculty.
Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Engineering and Technology is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and is being developed as per the norms of the All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E), Government of India. Well qualified and experienced staff, well equipped laboratories having the latest configurations of computers and software, constitutes the department. Our faculty members have extensive expertise and experience in their chosen fields and an overriding commitment to the welfare of their students.
We are not only committed to academic excellence but also to groom the overall personality of the students. We encourage our students to be capable enough to serve at the best of the organizations in the industry and have an attitude to generate employment through Entrepreneurship. This is achieved through the CSI Students Chapter and departmental students association “KAIZEN” [A Japanese word meaning Constant and Never Ending Improvement]- ‘K’omputer Association of Intelligent and Zestful ‘EN’gineers.
The department is keen about continuous improvement in the quality of education and research by enhancing the knowledge of students and faculty members to make them technically sound by arranging workshops, seminars and expert lectures. We also provide a conducive environment by arranging sports events, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to make the students and faculties feel at home.
