About the Department

The Department of Economics was established in the year 1973 at the G . P. G.C. Ranikhet . The department offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses in the art faculty.  Currently the department is running in its full capacity of three teaching post.  The department of Economics also offers Doctorate proggramme. 

Objectives 

• The department aimed to impart both thoeritical and practical knowledge of the subject.

• To make them aware about latest issues concerning economics. 

• To understand the concepts of Indian economy.

• To undestand the concepts of monetary and fiscal policy.

• To underestand the basic concepts of mathematical economics and its application in economics.
