Amravati district is rich in biodiversity in Vidarbha and the first tiger project in Maharashtra is also in this district. Amravati residents are always at the forefront of forest and wildlife conservation.
Forest Training Institute Chikhadara, The academy will provide training to forest officers selected by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). It will also serve as a training ground for forest guards. Once the requirement of officers in Maharashtra is fulfilled, the academy will be made available to the forest officers of other states. The institute also has different facilities in form of Classrooms, Conference rooms, Library, Computer lab, Sports grounds, Hostel, and Guesthouse. The college is also having the facility of a Virtual Classroom through Video conferencing for connecting experts in different fields to interact with trainees on various occasions. Training in the field of Weapons, Motor Mechanics, and First aid have also been imparted. Spider Museum is the Key feature of this training institute. Institute provides training courses on wildlife, biodiversity, eco-tourism, ecology development, joint forest management, medicinal plan, tribal and traditional forest rights, mangroves.
In the Chikhadara Forest, various research is carried out and research of spiders is one of them. Various new species of spiders are discovered from this area. Spider also plays an important role to sustain the environment, ecology, and biodiversity. So this workshop gives information, knowledge & training to students in all aspects of spider & spider research.

He is working in the field of exploration of biodiversity in Forest Ecosystems, degraded areas, waste lands, contaminated areas, Ecological socioeconomic studies, phytoremediation, micro plastics and eco-rejuvenation technology (ERT) for industrial waste, Fly Ash Dumped, ecological restoration of uranium tailings and economic valuation of natural and manmade ecosystem and biodiversity. He has published more than 62 papers in referred journals.
