VLSI Design Laboratory
General information about the Laboratory: According to previous curriculum B-Tech (ECE) 7th Semester students performed experiments on VLSI Design Laboratory.
Course outcomes:
CO1: Outline SPICE simulation tools.
CO2: Develop various circuits using PSPICE.
CO3: Illustrate EDA tools.
CO4: Develop various circuits using EDA tool.
CO5: Understand layout design tools.
Lists of experiments performed:
1. Familiarity with spice simulation tool.
2. Design of CMOS inverter and obtain its characteristics.
3. Design of two input CMOS NAND gate and obtain its input/output characteristics.
4. Design of two input CMOS NOR gate and obtain its input/output characteristics
5. Obtain the transfer characteristics of CMOS inverter for different values of Kn/Kp
6. Obtain the transient response of CMOS inverter for different values of Kn/Kp
7. Familiarity with EDA tools for VLSI design.
8. Design of AND gate& ORgateand obtain its input/output response.
9. Design of XOR/XNOR Gateand obtain its input/output response.
10. Design of Full adder and obtain its input/output response.
11. Design of (R-S,D, J-K) Flip flops and obtain its input/output response.
12. Design of 8bit synchronous counter and obtain its response.
13. Layouts design of CMOS inverterand obtain its input/output characteristics.
14. Layout design of two input CMOS NOR Gate and obtain its input/output characteristics.
15. Layout design of two input CMOS NAND Gate and obtain its input/output characteristics.
Tranning on C, JAVA programming.
VHDL programming.
