department of APPLIED Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering(AEIE)

About the Department

The Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering was established in 2002, recognized by AICTE and the department is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly WBUT). The annual intake for the course is 30 students. The department offers a course in B.Tech (4 years) in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. The departmental research is focused in the areas of Process Control, Industrial Instrumentation, Microprocessor & Microcontroller, smart sensors, transducers etc. The department attracts financial inputs through externally funded projects like MHRD. Our graduates show brilliant result in Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly WBUT) and they have distinguished themselves in higher studies at the top Universities. They also occupy positions of eminence in IT industries along with core industries. The primary goal of the Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is to educate, train and develop highly skilled professional for the process industry competent to handle complex industry problems and provide real time solutions and develop competency in electronics & instrumentation design and testing. Applied Electronics and instrumentation engineering department has well developed laboratories with modern instruments, to enable the students to face the technological and managerial demands of the industry. All the labs coming under the department are well equipped and these are having all the facilities as per the AICTE norms and academic requirements of the Moulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly WBUT).
