Cub Scouts is for boys and girls who are ages 5 – 11 ½ and is part of the Boy Scouts of America. The Cub Scout Motto is “Do your best.” As scouts and scout leaders, we teach this and we strive to abide by the following:
Scout Oath
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
Scout Law
A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
Inclusive Scouting
Pack 1 is committed to our mission of positive youth development, in partnership with a diverse and talented pool of adult volunteers. The Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council Pack 1 does not discriminate based on ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, age and/or sexual orientation.
Youth Protection & Scouting
Keeping youth safe is of paramount importance in Scouting. Part of that is making sure two adults are always present for activities and that there is no one-on-one contact between adults and youth.
Ranks & Advancement
Our pack is made up of several dens of various ranks. The Cub Scout rank year follows the school year. Lions are in Kindergarten, Tigers are in 1st grade, Wolves in 2nd grade, Bears in 3rd grade and Webelos in 4th and 5th grades. A scout does not need to complete a prior rank to advance to the next rank.
