About me

Hi, I am Denny and welcome to my website.

I am a 4th (final) year PhD student in Finance at the Queen Mary University of London with an expected graduation date of Autumn 2023.

With nearly ten years of academic and professional experience in Finance and Economics, I seek to offer my experience and skills to companies and projects as a researcher, analyst and consultant.

My main areas of expertise are in the field of Applied Corporate Finance, Compliance, Corporate Governance and Ownership Structure. Nevertheless, I am not limiting myself and pursuing some interdisciplinary studies linking Corporate Finance with Law and Legislation, and with Asset Pricing and Investor's Portfolio Choices.

I have an extensive professional and educational history through which I have mastered financial and economic analytic skills, pedagogical and strategic thinking. Before seeking admission to MRes in Finance at Queen Marry, I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Corporate Management at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, followed by the MSc in Corporate Finance at the Higher School of Economics. Recently. In 2020 I received an ACCA qualification and full membership.

I gained managerial and consultancy experience while working in Deloitte's Financial Forensic Investigation division, the Financial Advisory department.

I am fond of learning new ways of data analysis, application of estimation techniques and enhancing my skills in raw data processing and modelling using statistical software and programming languages.

In my spare time, I enjoy being physically active; playing tennis provides me with an outstanding balance of fitness, strength and agility. Furthermore, I am a fan of classical music, and since 2019, I have been singing in the Royal Choral Society as a Baritone and performing in several world-class venues and concert halls.
