Deniz Akturk

I am an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain, Operations and Technology at Washington University in St. Louis Olin Business School. I obtained my Ph.D. in Operations Management at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where I was fortunate to be co-advised by Prof. Ozan Candogan and Prof. Varun Gupta.  Previously, I completed my MBA at Chicago Booth and my Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University.

My research focuses primarily on introducing policies to address the spatial imbalance of inventory and resources in markets, service systems, transportation systems, and supply chains.  I utilize methodological tools and data-driven approaches to design policies that yield efficient outcomes.
