Principles of Macroeconomics
An introduction to macroeconomic concepts and their application to aggregate economic activity. Factors influencing rates of economic growth, employment, and inflation are emphasized. measures of aggregate economic activity and policies to control it are covered. This course is taught in a traditional classroom setting and online.
International Economics
This intermediate level of course is intended to develop the basic theory and policy aspects of international trade and international finance. This course is designed: 1) to provide useful theories of international trade; 2) to help assemble these theories into an overall analytical framework; 3) to apply this analytical framework to several current policy issues; 4) Understand the roles of important international organizations and economic integrations in trade and international finance; 5) analyze the role of foreign exchange markets in facilitating international trade and investment. This course is taught in a traditional classroom setting and online.
Introduction to Econometrics and Data Analysis
This intermediate level course is designed to teach econometric aspect of economic discipline. The objective of the course is to equip the student with a basic knowledge of econometrics and statistics that will help to successfully pursue empirical research on economics and related fields. This class will teach students the use of SAS Studio (in SAS OnDemand for Academics) and EXCEL to visually present data, to estimate simple and multivariate regression models, to evaluate the results, to test hypotheses, and to make forecasts and predictions.
ECON 4500 Growth and Business Cycles
This intermediate-level course is designed to analyze the key factors influencing national income, long-run economic growth, unemployment, and inflation. Through the use of various macroeconomic models, students will develop analytical tools to evaluate the drivers of long-term growth and the causes of business cycle fluctuations.
IB 3600 International Business and Culture- Business in Europe
This cross-cultural experience course offers students the opportunity to explore European business practices, historical contexts, and social and cultural norms through study abroad. Classroom instruction covers a range of topics relevant to various European countries, while in-country experiences include visits to businesses, sites of historical importance, and places of cultural significance across Europe.
