May 3-4, 2018. Frédéric Barraquand visited our lab in Montpellier (again). We spent two days working on our 2-species (predator-prey) integrated population model and the skeleton of a paper we will submit after summer for a special issue of Ecological Modelling.
February 12-16, 2018. Frédéric Barraquand visited our lab in Montpellier (again). We spent the week working on the 2-species (predator-prey) integrated population model we developed last time Frédéric was there. We also thought of identifiability issues in multispecies population dynamics models.
November 13-17, 2017. Frédéric Barraquand visited our lab in Montpellier. We spent the week working on a 2-species (predator-prey) integrated population model. We now have the mathematical formulation of the model and the code to simulate data and carry out inference.
November 1, 2017. Gilles Maurer and Olivier Gimenez published a paper using a two-species demographic model to show that wild-captive interactions and economics drive dynamics of Asian elephants in Laos. More details here.

September 22, 2017. We submitted a paper to Methods in Ecology and Evolution titled "R2ucare: An R package to perform goodness-of-fit tests for capture-recapture models". R2ucare allows testing the goodness-of-fit of multispecies capture-recapture models by treating species as a group. Check out the preprint here.
July 2-6, 2017. We attended the Euring conference in Barcelona. Nina Santostasi gave a talk on her PhD work to estimate the prevalence of hybrids in a free-ranging population of wolves in Italy using multispecies capture-recapture models. Olivier Gimenez had a poster on our R package R2ucare to assess the fit of capture-recapture models.
