Hi and welcome. I'm an art director with 18 years of experience in games and more experience in film vfx.    At Striking Distance Studios as the Head of Art, I manage and lead the discipline art directors and audio group. 

In this role, I collaborate with senior leadership to grow, maintain, and provide mentorship for mentoring the creative team.    I work with our Administrative leadership to provide clear infrastructure to promote team culture and growth and have experience doing so in a variety of team cultures.    

I'm also responsible for developing, defining, and communicating visual direction in collaboration with the Creative Director.  This includes establishing clear visual pillars for the team and compiling art guidelines in service of gameplay.     At the tail of production, I work closely with the Marketing group to provide promotional materials and visual direction for public-facing materials.  

Previous to being an Art Director at Striking Distance, I served as a Technical Art Director at ATVI on the Call of Duty franchise.   I was responsible for the technical quality of the performance of the billion-dollar game and worked with C-level staff when needed.     I was responsible for the development of visual technologies and leading and developing the technical art team.   My work on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare earned a Visual Effects Society Award.

Each project has given discoveries to me and the teams I've had the pleasure of working with.   It has also allowed me to build new relationships.    My co-developers and I have a common want - to make something great for the players.   

I've welcomed the advent of PBR for materials and lighting in games, photogrammetry for assets, raytracing, and now AI.   Each helps developers with their ideas to improve our users' experience.       Although this site doesn't contain all my work, it hopefully shows my passion for developing experiences and things I've learned.
