Spencer Dembner

I'm a math PhD student at Stanford, working with Ravi Vakil. Before that, I was an undergraduate at UChicago. My work is partially supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and a Stanford VPGE Dissertation Completion Fellowship. I will be on the academic job market in Fall 2026.  Here is my CV (updated September 3, 2026).

I'm interested in many questions near the intersection of (algebraic) geometry and model theory. In particular, I think a lot about o-minimal complex geometry, and about the complex exponential function. If you want to chat, please feel free to email me at [lastname] at [university].edu.
