Owner: Jeff Blevins - Bethel, AK
Well, here it is... the newest of several 800 Scouts I've picked up over the years. It's a 169 4 cylinder with a 3 speed. The outside body looks solid but there's a dent or two that will have to be addressed. The floor pans have some holes but the bed is solid as a rock. The best I can tell it has spent it's whole life in Rural Alaska and never seen a salty road.
The previous owner thought it was originally some kind of state vehicle shipped to St. Mary's Alaska on the Yukon River. I don't know that for sure, but it did end up here in Bethel in the mid 80s. It made it up river to a village called Kalskag, and sometime after that the previous owner bought it and took it further up the Kuskokwim to Aniak, Alaska. A buddy of mine was there several years ago and snapped a photo of it and I finally tracked down the owner and we worked out a deal.
So how do you move a Scout without and engine 150 miles down a river? Read More .......
