If you want a dedicated tool to visually monitor the healing process of your glass with precision, choose Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection; if you need a complete, all-in-one solution to actively fix chips and cracks in about 5-10 minutes, choose JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit.
• Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection: Its biggest strength is the specialized 3x magnification mirror designed specifically for monitoring glass integrity during repairs; its trade-off is that it contains no repair fluid or tools, serving only as an inspection aid. This pick is for the DIYer who already has a resin kit and needs a better way to see their work.
• JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit: Its biggest strength is the comprehensive nature of the package, including resin, a curing light with timers, and suction cups for immediate use; its trade-off is the lack of specialized magnification tools for deep visual analysis of complex damage patterns. This pick is for the van lifer or driver looking for a quick, standalone fix without needing extra equipment.
The Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection Mirror is not a magic wand that fixes broken glass on its own. Instead, it functions as a critical piece of diagnostic equipment for anyone serious about windshield maintenance. The core of this unit is a small, handheld mirror featuring 3x magnification. This level of detail is what separates a professional-grade approach from a casual guesswork attempt.
For the van life enthusiast, this tool solves a specific problem: visibility in tight spaces. When driving over gravel roads or navigating construction zones, chips can form in hard-to-reach corners of the windshield. Standard eyes often miss the depth of the fracture or the presence of air bubbles trapped within the resin. This mirror allows you to position the unit using an easy-to-use suction cup directly against the glass. You can then visually monitor the glass rock chip, small crack, or break during the entire repair process. The ability to rotate the view means you can inspect both horizontal and vertical positions effectively, ensuring the resin has fully penetrated the damaged area before you move on.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for a box that contains everything you need to stop a leak or hide a blemish immediately, this single mirror will not suffice. It is a component, not a complete system. The package includes only one mirror, so you do not get any adhesive, syringes, or UV lamps. It is best suited for someone who has purchased a separate repair resin kit and realizes they cannot see the progress well enough to know when the job is done. It is also ideal for those who want to ensure their windshield is structurally sound before deciding whether a full replacement is necessary. If you need to inspect the internal layers of the laminate without guessing, this is the tool that gives you that clarity.

In stark contrast to the Delta Kits mirror, the JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit is designed as a self-contained solution for the average driver. The moment you open the box, you have access to the materials needed to handle minor windshield chips and cracks. The kit is marketed as a professional-grade DIY repair system that eliminates the need for mixing chemicals or hunting for compatible parts. It includes a specific glass repair liquid formulated for cracks, along with a curing light that uses a suction cup mechanism to stay firmly in place while you work.
This kit shines for its speed and convenience. The design focuses on a straightforward five-step process: clean the area, apply the formula, position the film, activate the light, and scrape away residue. The inclusion of a curing light with multiple settings changes the game significantly. Unlike older methods that rely on natural sunlight or generic flashlights, this device features two timer settings and two light exposure modes. This allows you to customize the cure time based on the size of the damage, potentially completing many minor repairs in about 5 to 10 minutes. For the van life community, where road trips are long and roadside assistance is expensive, having a compact repair station in the glove box is invaluable.
The JNBDGJ kit is particularly useful for laminated auto glass, which is standard in most modern vehicles. It targets common stone chips and small cracks that threaten to spread. The bright orange color of the unit makes it highly visible and easy to locate in a cluttered garage or vehicle interior. However, users should be aware that while the curing light is a major feature, the kit does not include a high-magnification inspection mirror like the Delta Kits option. You will be relying on your naked eye to judge the final result. If you have large, complex cracks or deep fractures that require precise monitoring of resin flow, this kit might feel less robust than a setup that combines a mirror with a separate high-quality resin injector. It is a practical, "grab-and-go" solution for everyday wear and tear.
• Best for immediate action: JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit, because it arrives ready to use with resin and a UV curing light included.
• Best for van life emergency kits: JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit, as the compact, 2-piece unit fits easily in storage and requires no external tools.
• Best for monitoring resin flow: Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection, allowing you to see air bubbles and gaps during the injection phase.
• Best for beginners: JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit, offering a guided process with a curing light that removes the guesswork of drying times.
• Best for cost efficiency (tool-wise): Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection, if you already own a resin kit and just need a better inspection method.
• Best for durability of the tool itself: Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection, built as a simple, durable mirror unit versus a kit with plastic components and electronics.
• Best for complex crack patterns: Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection, as the magnification helps identify hidden hairline fractures that a standard light might miss.
I would buy the JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit for my own van life adventures. While the Delta Kits mirror offers superior optical capabilities, I rarely have the luxury of carrying a separate resin kit and a mirror simultaneously in a mobile living space. The JNBDGJ solution is a true all-in-one package that handles the cleaning, filling, and curing steps without requiring me to source additional items. The inclusion of the suction-cup curing light with timer settings is a game-changer for quick, reliable repairs on the side of the road. In my opinion, having a complete, functional kit that guarantees a 5-10 minute turnaround is more valuable than a high-tech inspection tool for a situation where speed and simplicity are paramount.
No, the Delta Kits Windshield Repair Inspection package contains only the mirror unit. It is designed solely for visual monitoring and requires a separate repair resin kit to be effective.
The JNBDGJ kit is designed to complete minor repairs in approximately 5 to 10 minutes. The smart suction cup curing light features two timer settings to accommodate different repair sizes and needs.
Yes, both products are designed for automotive use. The Delta Kits mirror works on horizontal and vertical positions, while the JNBDGJ kit includes a flexible curing film and suction cup intended to adhere to the curve of laminated auto glass.
The JNBDGJ Windshield Repair Kit is specifically designed for common stone chips and minor cracks. Very large or deep fractures may exceed the capacity of this specific nano-resin formulation.
