This Privacy Policy explains how Delta ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our employee attendance application (the "App"). The App is operated by Gautam Mehta, an individual developer (Play Store developer account: coderGtm).
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.
Account information. When you sign in, we receive basic profile information from your Google account through Firebase Authentication, including your name and email address. This is used to create and identify your account.
Attendance information. The App records clock-in and clock-out events, including the time of each entry and your precise GPS location (latitude and longitude) at the time of the entry. Location coordinates are captured to support geofencing and to verify attendance is recorded from permitted locations. We also store which outlet your entries belong to.
Outlet and membership information. When you create or join an outlet, we store details such as the outlet name, its location and geofence settings, your role (owner or employee), and any display name set for you within the outlet.
Salary and reporting information. Where an employer uses the reporting feature, we process the employee's working hours and the hourly rate provided by the employer to calculate salary reports.
Device and usage data. We may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, device type, and app usage logs, as well as HTTP request logs, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity
- Record, store, and display attendance entries and verify locations (geofencing)
- Manage outlets, memberships, and invitations
- Generate attendance and salary reports requested by outlet owners
- Maintain the security and integrity of the App, including preventing abuse and unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We collect precise GPS location data when you record attendance entries. This information is used to verify that attendance is recorded from authorized locations and to enforce outlet geofencing rules where the outlet owner has enabled them. Location data is stored with each attendance record. You should only use the App while clocking in or out from a permitted location; if you do not wish to share your location, do not record attendance with the App.
We do not sell or share your personal information except in the following cases:
- Service providers. We share limited information with trusted providers who help us operate the App:
- Firebase (Google) for authentication and identity verification.
- Our hosting provider located in India, which stores the database that holds your data.
- Backup providers (e.g., Backblaze B2) used for encrypted off-site backups of the database, where enabled.
- Within your organization. Attendance records, names, emails, and display names are visible to the owner and authorized administrators of the outlet you belong to, and to your employer for legitimate attendance and payroll purposes.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or ourselves.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes, including:
- Attendance records are retained to maintain accurate work and payroll history.
- When you delete your account, your account is deactivated, and you can no longer sign in. However, historical attendance and membership records may be retained for legitimate business, accounting, or legal purposes, as required or permitted by law.
- Session/refresh tokens are revoked on account deletion and purged on a scheduled basis.
When you delete your account, the record of your email address associated with it may be retained internally to prevent future misuse, and any information required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes may be retained for the period required by law.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure storage of sensitive data (such as hashed tokens), restricted access controls, and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete your account and associated data (you can delete your account within the App)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Where you request deletion, note that some information may be retained as described in Section 6.
The App is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove such information.
Your personal information is stored on servers located in India. If you are located outside India, your information will be transferred to and processed in India. By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing. Where applicable, we take steps to ensure your information is protected to the standards described in this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
