I have upgraded to 1.10.4. I'm sorry to confirm that the glitch effect while zoom in/out still shows up. It is happening randomly on white background, type faces, embedded PNGs or rectangle color boxes.

@Chris B The glitch is totally random. It's happening with Live Filters enabled. When I add a new curve layer and zoom in and out 10 times, everything looks good. However next time the glitch shows up again.

Today, The glitch occurred when I applied a gaussian blur to pixel layer. It was impossible to guess the modification. Disabling metal acceleration will prevent those glitches, though. Anything else I can do? Is it a graphic card issue?

Quick update on this issue: It turned out this glitch effect was caused by a dying Radeon graphic card. I have replaced the AMD Radeon HD 7950 with the exact same model. Now, random glitches are gone! Hope this helps...

Data Glitch is a native After Effects plugin that creates awesome realistic digital image glitches with total ease. Something you would see during a satellite transmission or a cable broadcast or from a damaged disk. Bad TV plugin is great for analog TV look, but this is 2010 and you hardly see anything that's analog anymore. This plugin simulates a realistic digital glitch effect.

In real-life most of the glitches occur due to problems in encoding/decoding and sometimes data corruption. This plugin does exactly that. It encodes the data, glitches the data and then decodes it similar to the real life situation.

New version has been rejected by Apple, because SDL_image 1.2.10 uses a deprecated CGDataProviderCreate API. The code contains a "#ifdef" to use a newer replacement, so I'll have to recompile it instead of using Lipo, but I'm afraid this newer replacement is the actual source of the glitch on OSX El Capitan.

For anyone else having problems with graphical glitches on OS X El Capitan and pygame, you can follow these instructions to downgrade to SDL from version 1.2.12 to 1.2.10, which seems to fix the issue (at least in several of the games I've tested so far):

Not the best for streaming but I wanted to try capture what was happening. I had the same thing again this morning on R.G.V on the 3R Endurance Ride. Large field of around 150. At its worse the whole screen was glitching out as we went through the whole length of the pave sprint.

The problem started when my Macbook Air for work became glitchy as I was lacking enough free space. I did a factory reboot and downloaded the new OS Monterey (yay!). Just in case, I didn't reboot through Time Machine back up. I wanted the Macbook as clean as possible. As soon as I synced my iCloud Drive, i gained 97 GB of system storage and I was again out of storage (121 GB Macbook Air)

Gary, you know you can use the built-in "Preview" app to save your JPG file as a TIFF? No Photoshop or online service required. I just followed the rest of your instructions to glitch a JPG -> TIFF and it worked fine.

Issue: BorisFX Mocha cannot apply tracking data to layers with Separated Dimensions.

Workaround: Disable Separated Dimensions on the Position property of the target layer before applying tracking data from BorisFX Mocha.

Every day, you hop onto the internet without giving it a second thought and spend hours there working, researching, shopping, and even doing your online banking. But using the internet is becoming increasingly risky. Each time you go online, hackers and bad actors are online, too, hard at work to get their hands on your valuable data.

In fact, the cause of the problem is very complex. For the most part, you did nothing wrong. One of the most likely reasons is that your Mac has encountered a glitch somewhere, so emptying the Trash doesn't work properly. Luckily, there is not only one way to empty the Trash. In the next part, we will introduce several alternative ways for you to empty Trash.

Note: You can create a backup of your Mac by clicking the "Disk Backup" on the left first. The software will recover the deleted files from the backup image. It can prevent further damage to your disk and data, making it safer and more reliable.

So then I wiped my Plugins clean again and reinstalled NAM 36 fresh using the installer, custom installation setting without any of the High Speed Rail Project checked, and opted for the Bullet Train Mod (BTM) only. Game loaded and allowed me to play and save existing regions again with all the previous NAM content I had placed (except obviously for HSR, which I hadn't previously used in my cities anyway). Building bullet train tracks and stations worked fine as well, as did some new RHW. (Note: after success with the fresh NAM install, glutton for punishment that I am, I deleted those files and tried adding my previous NAM plugins [Network Addon Mod and z___NAM folders] back into my Plugins folder without the entire HSRP folders from both of them instead of just the few HSR station files in z___NAM > Mass Transit Lots > High Speed Rail Stations like I attempted earlier, but that didn't work and the game went back to CTD after intro, so I'm thinking there must be some glitch around the fundamental HSRP in the entire NAM install with the 64-bit update on the Mac Steam, maybe something to do with the re-skinning of the monorail whilst still allowing monorail as an option [which as I understand it is all HSRP is] whereas the BTM replaces the monorail as a re-skin entirely.)

The second issue is more complicated and is the result of using mods which have some incorrectly defined data types. Whilst technically an error, the use of such has never really came to light as a problem, because it never caused problems with the 32-bit Mac and PC versions of the game. With one exception, two Properties that are used specifically for TE Lots (Stations), again the PC version simply works regardless, but it led to problems for 32-bit Mac version players. This is known as the Mac TE bug, but is actually a ridiculously simple problem:

We know that certain Properties are embedded into the save file, when content is placed in-game, whilst other data is non-static. In the above scenario, if an affected file's Properties were read, as part of the loading process, could that be triggering the CTD. Just as normally, it only triggers when you try to use an affected Lot, when the game reads all it's Properties.

Even less clear, assuming the above explained what we're seeing, if we correct the affected Plugins, will that correct the issue. There is some possibility, this data may be part of the Save File and fixing that is a lot harder. One things for sure, since these issues are only triggered by the use of Custom Content, no one at Aspyr is likely to offer support or resolution.

I'm experiencing the glitch big time! I went to Apple because I thought it was my graphics card but it didn't stop. I have updated to the latest OS and the latest InDesign and it just continuously happens, especially when switching between view modes. It's also not only images but the whole page/screen/pasteboard and I have 2 folders full of these really annoying glitches! Would some one like to help?
