Please be in prayer for Rev. Eddie G. Gibson during this important mission trip.
Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. (Nehemiah 2:18 KJV)

"Dellanna Rising"
While global citizens such as Reverend Eddie G. Gibson of Birmingham, Alabama, are determined to educate and develop communities abroad, others are desperate to combat these positive efforts. The Dellanna West O’Brien Learning Center in Liberia, West Africa has been a functional and productive educational institution since its establishment in 2003, resulting from a collaborative of several Birmingham organizations and global supporters. Serving 400 plus kindergarten through 12th grade students, this institution has offered stability and hope to the community. The school’s premeditated demolition on February 27, 2021 by a disgruntled former property owner has yielded heartbreak, despair and uncertainty about the education of local students who cannot afford academic opportunities elsewhere. With the livelihood of this town at stake and the numerous resources invested, Eddie G. Gibson, Brewster Road Community Church and partners are determined to reconstruct both community school buildings and pride. Click here for project updates.
