Dell Latitude 5420 Camera Driver Download

Not every user is seeing this problem, but the ones who do have 5410 or 5420 Dell laptops. This makes me think it's a wider issue and not just us. But I can't find anyone else experiencing this online, but I feel like it can't just be us. These machines are deployed a vanilla Windows image via MDT, all latest drivers are injected and software like Teams is installed as later part of the task sequence during OSD.

The camera on my Dell laptop disappeared. I got the message " We can't find your camera, Check to be sure it's connected and installed properly, that it isn't being blocked by any antivirus and that your computer driver's are up to date. If you need it, here's the error code: 0xA00F4244

This sounds screwy - but has worked on some of the Dells we have: Go into Control panel, programs - remove the audio or sound drivers. Reboot - in most cases the camera is back. Find the most recent drivers from Dell and re-install, if you need more than the basic sound.We've gone round and round - the camera drivers are ONLY supposed to be Microsoft, but there has to be interaction. But we did have 1 bad camera or connection cord on one - out of 15-20 that had 'no camera installed' issues. Try it - will not hurt anything. This is not BIOS issue. If I was guessing though, I would say that Windows update put a "better" driver in there and that broke it. Downloading and installing the Dell driver from dell.com/support (using your service tag to look up the correct driver) will most likely fix the issue. Assuming the camera isn't physically broken.
