Throughout 2023 our PR & digital activity has increased and continues to grow.
Despite changes to some social media networks, social media following has increased as has engagement with the content. More frequent sharing has increased impressions on all networks and has enabled a wider reach for news items, events, and jobs. In total, we have grown our total social media following from 14,000 to 16,000. This growth is particularly significant on LinkedIn, which saw a 41% increase in followers to the Future Humber page.
There has been an increased focus on creating our own digital content including serialising the Your Move brochure and originating content focused on early career development under the Talent+ umbrella. This increase in original content has led to an increase in visitors to the Future Humber website through organic search.
The revamped podcast was launched in June 2023 and comprises of episodes either of short interviews with Bondholders or round-ups from events, such as Humber Business Week.
The fortnightly Humber Spotlight enews was redesigned as part of the Future Humber rebrand and continues to go from strength to strength. There are over 5,000 people opted in to receive this enews every second Friday and it has been read 70,000 times this year.
Invest Humber has been repositioned as investhumber.com, the site features an updated portfolio of 26 decarbonisation and resilience projects alongside a library of information around the Humber as place - to live, work, and invest. The updates include two key focuses: Opportunities - Split by sector, an up to date portfolio of opportunities highlights the key projects here in the Humber that are accelerating a decarbonised future for the UK. Why the Humber - A library of articles showcases why the Humber is a leading hub for business development and an ideal place to invest in new technologies, while highlighting what the region has to offer where life here is concerned.
We have continued to work with regional and national media outlets to promote the Humber region to a wider audience. Articles and features about Bondholders’ activity and Bondholders themselves have graced larger regional publications such as The Yorkshire Post, national business press such as Commerce & Industry magazine, and also as TV features on ITV Calendar. We continue to work to spread the story of investment and growth in the region to the rest of the UK and beyond.
