About me

I am currently a postdoc in the math department at Virginia Tech, USA, mentored by Prof. Hiram H. López. I am also associated with the math department at the Universidad de La Laguna, Spain, as a Beatriz Galindo Distinguished Professor.

Previously, I was postdoc mentored by Alexandre Graell i Amat at the Depart. of Electrical Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. 

I did my PhD  under the supervision of Prof. Rafael H. Villarreal at Cinvestav. And, I was a master degree student under the supervision of Prof. Luis Núñez-Betancourt and Prof. Manuel González Villa at CIMAT. 

My areas of research are Machine-Federated Learning, Coding Theory, and  Combinatorial Commutative Algebra.
