VOTE FOR HEALTH

BrownGold believes there are many ways to exercise deliberate compassion, to be a part of the solution when it comes to health care. A smile or a hand-squeeze to acknowledge someone’s situation, to let them know they are not alone, is one. Voting is another.

Having seen the lives of individuals like Adrianne and Kerry saved by legislative decisions, BrownGold believes that it is critically important that we vote for individuals who will see the humanity of their constituents and represent us with compassion.

You can learn more about where the 2020 presidential candidates stand on issues related to health care at The Kaiser Family Foundation.

"ENSURING THAT PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE--AND THAT MEDICAL CARE IS AFFORDABLE--IS THE DUTY OF GOVERNMENT AT ALL TIMES, BUT IT IS ESPECIALLY VITAL WHEN OUR WORLD IS FIGHTING A PANDEMIC THAT IS STILL PRESENTING US WITH NEW CHALLENGES EVERY DAY."

- PA Governor Tom Wolf

CALL TO ACTION

Over the past four years, there have been multiple attempts to end or dismantle the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in the legislature and in the courts, with no plans for a sufficient alternative put forward. With Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death, there is now an open seat on the Supreme Court. The person who fills that seat will most likely determine the fate of the ACA...and all those whose lives and health depend on it.

Nearly one million Pennsylvanians would lose their health coverage if the Supreme Court were to overturn the ACA. In that event, protections for the 5.5 million Pennsylvanians with pre-existing conditions would also be at risk, as would coverage under Medicaid Expansion. For help in his fight to stop this scenario from playing out, U.S. Senator Bob Casey is calling on Pennsylvanians to share videos with him about what the ACA means to them.

If you are a Pennsylvania resident who has coverage under ACA or has a family member who does, please email your short (horizontal/landscape) video to the senator at MyACAStory@Casey.Senate.gov. Be sure to include your name and location. Deadline: October 12.
