Yashira defended her Master of Science thesis today, and we are doubly excited! She is the Yashira successfully defended her Master of Science thesis today, and we're thrilled! She is the first in our group to do so, and she excelled. Her presentation focused on designing a multifunctional composite for PFAS removal. Additionally, she secured a position as a Quality Analyst at Cervezera de Puerto Rico. Dr. Del Pilar and her team organized lab tours open to the public. During the tour, students were introduced to electrocatalytic and fuel cells, environmental remediation of dyes, and saw the instruments used to perform it all   

Got some beamtime? Ileyram gets to work at Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) over the summer along side scientist Louise Debefve and Chris Pollock. 

During May, Oscar traveled to CHESS for a three-day long visit to the new High Magnetic Field beamline. The line will soon have a 20 Tesla magnet available for Users to include in their XAS experiments.
