First of all, I would like to share a little background. This course was one I initially did not want to pursue, but I took it because of my parents' wishes. They also suggested that I need to choose English as my major. As time went on, I realized that this course would actually be beneficial for my future career, and it has also helped boost my confidence.

Now, returning to the question of "Why did I choose English as my major?" aside from my parents’ preferences, I wanted to enhance my communication skills and expand my vocabulary. I enjoy reading literary works, particularly fiction stories, but I feel like this is not enough for me to become more knowledgeable in the English language. Additionally, one of my goals is to work abroad. These are just a few reasons why I chose this course and major.
