Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Education
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Education
Diversity is a fact. Equity is a choice. Inclusion is an action. Belonging is an outcome.
Where do we begin?
What is meant by diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)? What is inclusive pedagogy and what does it encompass? How can we incorporate it into our existing curricula and design new educational experiences with these concepts in mind?
This learning resource seeks to answer these questions for educators and offer practical strategies, so we can foster learning environments that are considerate of and welcoming to diverse life experiences. I would like to offer you this inclusive teaching takeaway to take notes as you progress through this resource. It may be helpful to reference when you review your current courses or in the design of future courses.
At the bottom of this page (and subsequent pages), you'll see navigation buttons that will guide you through the content contained in this learning resource.
