Meeting #171

The 171st  Educational Meeting , was held on the 15th August 2026 at Life Centre, Ridgeway Place , Colombo 04.

The meeting was led by Toastmaster of the Day, TM Shrenik, who brought an engaging and interactive atmosphere to the meeting.

The evening began with an interesting Round Robin session, where members worked together to build a story. Many members contributed their own incidents and experiences, adding creativity and unexpected turns to the story. The activity not only encouraged members to think on their feet but also helped create greater audience attention and engagement.

A special highlight of the meeting was the Speech Evaluation Workshop, conducted by DTM Yogendraprasath Sathiyaseelan. The insightful session provided members with valuable guidance on delivering effective evaluations and identifying key areas for improvement in speeches.

We then moved on to the Prepared Speech session, where TM Hasara shared valuable insights about different leadership styles, while TM Aqeel confidently delivered his very first Ice Breaker speech, marking an important milestone in his Toastmasters journey.

The energy continued during the Table Topics session, skillfully conducted by TM Aanandi, giving members the opportunity to think on their feet and deliver engaging impromptu speeches.

The evening concluded with thoughtful evaluations, where members received constructive feedback and valuable insights to support their continued growth and development in their Toastmasters journey.

The meeting was then adjourned, bringing another engaging and memorable Toastmasters evening to a close.
