The 169th Educational Meeting , was held on the 25th July 2026 at Life Centre, Ridgeway Place , Colombo 04.

The meeting was led by Toastmaster of the Day, TM Rehana, who introduced the vibrant holiday theme, creating a relaxing atmosphere that inspired members to share their travel experiences and dream destinations.

The evening began with an interactive Round Robin session, where members shared the holiday destination they would most like to visit. The session encouraged engaging conversations as members exchanged their travel dreams and exciting holiday experiences.

The meeting also featured a Moment of Truth session conducted by TM Tiresh, providing members with the opportunity to reflect on the club experience and share valuable feedback to help strengthen the quality of our meetings.

We then moved on to the Prepared Speech session, where TM Anouk and TM Methasa confidently delivered their very first Ice Breaker speeches. This marked an important milestone in their Toastmasters journey, and both speakers were warmly applauded for taking their first step in becoming confident communicators.

Adding to the excitement, a fun-filled holiday-themed activity kept everyone engaged. Two holiday destinations were assigned to opposite sides of the room while members stood in the middle. As different holiday destinations were called out, participants had to quickly jump to the corresponding side. Those who moved to the wrong destination were eliminated, creating plenty of laughter, excitement, and friendly competition throughout the game.

The energy continued during the Table Topics session, skillfully conducted by TM Kalindu, where members were challenged with holiday-themed topics that encouraged them to think on their feet and deliver creative impromptu speeches.

The evening concluded with thoughtful evaluations, where evaluators provided constructive feedback and valuable insights, helping every speaker continue their Toastmasters journey.
