Meeting #119

The 119th Educational Meeting was held on the 13th July 2024 at Life Centre, Ridgeway Place, Colombo. 

Role Players:

• Toastmaster of the day -  Hasindu Ranaweera

• General Evaluator - Hayaa Ashraff

• Grammarian -  Kalindu Senarathne

• Ah Counter -  Yowan Ranaweera

• Timer -  Thevinu Senaratne

• Round Robin Master -  Abdullah Nawfar

 TM Hasindu led another extraordinary meeting, featuring a captivating mathematical theme The session kicked off uniquely with TM Saai as the round robin master, challenging us to debate our opposite feelings about math—whether we love or hate it.

Next, we had speeches by TM Tiresh, TM Musthafa respectively . TM Tiresh delighted us on a humorous rollercoaster while TM Mustafa captivated us with his narrative on enriching experiences from collaborative group work.

We also enjoyed an engaging icebreaker session hosted by TM Hasindu, who organized a Kahoot quiz featuring mathematical-themed questions, adding a unique twist to the meeting and, to the utter disbelief of everyone present, Saai’s team somehow managed to snatch victory!

finally, our table topics session, led by TM Abishek, took an intriguing turn. It evolved into an impromptu debate format where one speaker proposed a topic and the next speaker immediately countered with opposing views.

The meeting came to an end with excellent evaluations, and our VP - Education officially adjourned our 119th outstanding session. A heartfelt thank you to all members and guests for participating, and we look forward to seeing you at our 120th meeting!
