Meeting #109

The 109th Educational Meeting was held on the 3rd February 2024 at Life Centre,Ridgeway Place,Colombo.

Role Players:

• Toastmaster of the day - Lehan Hewawasam

• General Evaluator –Saai Syvendra

• Grammarian –Samuel Arulanandan

• Ah Counter –  Yowan Ranaweera

• Timer -  Tiresh Desilva

• Round Robin Master - Kalindu Senaratne

The meeting started with the President  welcoming all the Toastmasters and Area Director of C2 and Area Director of E4. There were couple of new guests present at the meeting, they were introduced to the club. Then the meeting control was handed over to the Toastmaster of the Day,Lehan Hewawasam where he brought the theme of the day "Only in Sri Lanka".

The Round Robin session was carried out by TM Kalindu where he wanted everyone present to reveal thier favourite sinhala song.

Next, we had speeches by TM Thereen and TM Hasindu respectively . TMOD carried out a Q&A session where he brought a Kahoot session filled with unique questions about Sri Lanka.

The table topic session was held next. All the guests volunteered and spoke about various topics, we definitely found amazing speakers.

The meeting concluded with the guests sharing their experience of their first meeting at Dehiwala Toastmasters and how much they were able to enjoy and learn from the meeting.

Overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable meeting, which saw the active participation of all the members and guests present and everyone was definitely able to learn a lot! Looking forward to many more such meetings!
