Meeting #108

The 108th Educational Meeting was held on the 27th January 2024 at Life Centre,Ridgeway Place,Colombo.

Role Players:

• Toastmaster of the day - Ragavi Ratnaranjan

• General Evaluator –Anouki Perera

• Grammarian –Prince Dharmapala

• Ah Counter –  Naguleswaran Abhisek

• Timer -  Tiresh Desilva

• Round Robin Master - Hasindu Ranaweera

The meeting started with the President  welcoming all the Toastmasters. There were couple of new guests present at the meeting, they were introduced to the club. Then the meeting control was handed over to the Toastmaster of the Day,Ragavi Ratnaranjan where she brought the theme of the day "Thai-Pongal".

The Round Robin session was carried out by TM Hasindu where he wanted everyone present to reveal what Thai Pongal is to them.

Next, we had speeches by TM Samuel,TM Tiresh,TM Prince respectively . The MOT session  was carried out by the club with the assistance of our Past President TM Abarnah Kirupanandan.

The table topic session was held next. All the guests volunteered and spoke about various topics, we definitely found amazing speakers.

The meeting concluded with the guests sharing their experience of their first meeting at Dehiwala Toastmasters and how much they were able to enjoy and learn from the meeting.

Overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable meeting, which saw the active participation of all the members and guests present and everyone was definitely able to learn a lot! Looking forward to many more such meetings!
