Meeting #107

The 107th Educational Meeting was held on the 13th January 2024 at Life Centre,Ridgeway Place,Colombo.

Role Players:

• Toastmaster of the day - Tiresh Desilva

• General Evaluator –Kalindu Senaratne

• Grammarian –Prince Dharmapala

• Ah Counter –  Naguleswaran Abhisek

• Timer -  Navith Nawarathne

• Round Robin Master - Hasara Vithanage

The meeting started with the President  welcoming all the Toastmasters. There were couple of new guests present at the meeting, they were introduced to the club. Then the meeting control was handed over to the Toastmaster of the Day,Tiresh De Silva where he brought the theme of the day "Humour".

The Round Robin session was carried out by TM Hasara where she wanted everyone present to expose thier funny secret.

Next, we had speeches by TM Tiresh,TM Samuel,TM Thereen ,TM Yowan respectively . The New Member Induction was carried out by the club with the assistance of our Area Director for Area C2 TM Asiri Ekanayake.

The table topic session was held next. All the guests volunteered and spoke about various topics, we definitely found amazing speakers.

The meeting concluded with the guests sharing their experience of their first meeting at Dehiwala Toastmasters and how much they were able to enjoy and learn from the meeting.

Overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable meeting, which saw the active participation of all the members and guests present and everyone was definitely able to learn a lot! Looking forward to many more such meetings!
