Meeting #100

The 100th Educational Meeting was held on the 14th October 2023 at Home Tree Co-working Space,Colombo.

Role Players:

• Toastmaster of the day - Abarnah Kirupanandan

• General Evaluator –Dini Weerakkody

• Grammarian –Thereen Dharmadasa

• Ah Counter – Saai Syvendra

• Timer -  Komin Karunasekara

• Round Robin Master - Abdullah Nawfer

The meeting started with the President  welcoming all the Toastmasters. There were guest Toastmasters from IIT Toastmasters,Pinnacle Toastmasters ,Word Blasters Toastmasters and the Area Director TM Asiri Ekanayake  present at this special occasion of Dehiwala Toastmasters Club. The meeting control was handed over to the Toastmaster of the Day, Past President of the Club TM Abarnah Kirupanandan who conducted the Halloween themed 100th Meeting.

The Round Robin session was carried out by TM Abdullah where he started off with a scary horror story and wanted everyone to continue the spooky storyline.

Next, we had 2 icebreaker speeches by TM Tiresh and TM Thereen and an L1P2 speech of TM Mustafa.

 Next the TM Ammar  conducted an awarness presentation on antibiotics which was an eye opening session on everyday health benefits.

The table topic session was held next by the TTM Abarnah Kirupanandan who continued the horror theme of the day

The meeting concluded with the guest Toastmasters sharing their experience of their meeting at Dehiwala Toastmasters and how much they were able to enjoy and learn from the meeting.

Overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable meeting, which saw the active participation of all the members and guests present and everyone was definitely able to learn a lot! Looking forward to many more such meetings!
