Defiant Lights Control ("the app") is a utility for discovering and controlling Defiant Bluetooth-enabled motion-sensor spotlights that you own. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use it.
The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or analytics. It has no user accounts, no servers, and makes no network requests of its own.
The app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) solely to communicate directly with Defiant light fixtures in range of your device. This communication:
happens only between your iPhone/iPad and your light fixture, over a local Bluetooth connection;
is never sent to us, to Apple, or to any third party;
is never stored outside of your device's temporary memory while the app is open.
We do not receive any information about the devices you scan for, connect to, or control.
The app offers optional, one-time "tip" purchases. These purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive, see, or store your payment information, billing address, or any other data related to the transaction — Apple's own privacy policy governs that process, not us.
None. The app does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, does not require account creation or sign-in, does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or photos, and does not transmit any data off of your device.
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
