Privacy Policy for Defense IQ

Defense IQ ("the App") is operated by Darktiger Studios LLC ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. If you have questions, contact us at the email listed at the end.
The short version
Defense IQ is a football recognition training app. Your training data — your Defense IQ score, progress, and rep history — is stored on your own device. We do not sell your data, we do not show third-party ads, and we collect as little as possible.
Information stored on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device so it can remember your progress between sessions:
Your Defense IQ score, rank, and tier
Your training progress, accuracy, and rep history (including which reads you got right or wrong)
Your subscription/trial status
App settings and preferences
This information stays on your device. We do not have access to it unless you use the App's optional online features (see below), which are not required for core training.
Subscriptions and payments
Defense IQ offers an optional auto-renewable subscription with a free trial. All payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — not by us. We never see or store your payment information, card numbers, or billing details. Subscription purchases and renewals are processed and managed entirely through your Apple or Google account.
We use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, to confirm whether a valid subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a non-identifying purchase token from the app store to validate your subscription status. It does not receive your name, email, or payment details. Online accounts and features
Core training works entirely on your device with no account required. The App also offers optional online features — such as a leaderboard that ranks players by their Defense IQ score. When you choose to appear on the leaderboard:
The App creates an anonymous account for you. This account is not tied to your name, email, or phone number.
A display name you choose, along with your Defense IQ score and tier, is sent to our servers (provided by Supabase) so it can be shown and ranked on the leaderboard.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account & Data). This removes your leaderboard entry from our servers and erases your data on the device.
We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
If you do not use the online features, none of your training data leaves your device. Viewing the leaderboard does not require you to submit anything; only choosing to post your score does.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not display third-party advertising in the App.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or microphone data.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Children's privacy
Defense IQ is intended for a general audience interested in football. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through an online feature, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored on your device remains until you delete the App or use the in-app delete option. If you use the optional online features, you may delete your online account and associated server-stored data from within the App (Settings → Delete Account & Data); we will remove it from active systems within a reasonable period.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App.
