Our library website had a makeover! Easily find what you're looking for and discover something new along the way. There's a place for events, e-resources, community links, and more. It easily formats to your device: phone, tablet, or large screen.
Community Links is a new section that provides helpful links to the community. If you have ideas for any additions, please let us know at dcpatrons@gmail.com.
Consider becoming a library trustee! The library is seeking well-rounded, energetic applicants who can assist the Board of Trustees with various tasks and initiatives to support the library’s mission and enhance community engagement. There will be two open seats on the Library Board of Trustees in April 2025.
If you are interested, please pick up an election packet at the Deer Creek District Library during our open hours. You will need to return your petition and forms to the Library Nov. 12-18, 2024. WINTER HOURS start Monday, October 21, 2024. Monday through Wednesday we will open earlier and close earlier. If you can't make it during the open hours, don't forget that you have access to lockers outside the library 24/7. You can still request library items and then pick them up from the lockers.
What: Register for a free workshop where you will learn strategies and activities that can help you to live in the moment and reduce stress. Join Family Life Educator Sara Attig to gain experience utilizing hands-on mindfulness techniques and build your own mindfulness kit.

Deer Creek District Library has an interactive story time that includes singing with movement, stories with sign language, and bubbles!
Fall 2024 Storytime is every Friday at 10AM from August 23rd through November 22nd at the Deer Creek District Library. It is for ages 0-5, and older siblings are welcome.

The Office of the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library is providing free e-resources!
A wide range of databases covering topics from car repair to legal resources, from health information to peer reviewed articles for academic research, from home improvement information to study materials for college entrance exams. View the full list of resources with brief descriptions of all the databases.
Access the EBSCOhost databases on the new library website under the Resources link. When using the resources at the library, you will be seamlessly authenticated. If you are off site, then you will be prompted for your library barcode. There will be a prompt for each link you click on.
