We are closed Monday, September 1st and will reopen Tuesday, September 2nd.
The book drop is available 24/7. You may return Deer Creek Library items, or items from other libraries as well. If you're unable to pick up any book requests before Friday, August 29, please give us a call (309-447-6724) and we can put them in our Pick-up Lockers outside the library. Then you're able to pick up your books at a time that's convenient to you. Happy Labor Day!
Pick up a bingo card at the library and join the fun this September—open to all ages! Complete a bingo for a chance to win prizes: kids (0–12) can win two books, and teens/adults (13+) can win a $25 Amazon gift card. Return your completed card by September 30 to enter the drawing!
You’re welcome to complete multiple Bingos on the same card just for fun, but only one prize entry per person.
What: Storytime
Get ready for stories, singing, sign language, and bubbles! This engaging storytime is perfect for children ages 0–5, and older siblings are welcome to join the fun. Don’t miss this lively and educational experience!
When: Fridays, September 5th and 12th from 10:00 -10:30 a.m.

What: Coffee and Community with Lori Lewis
Join us on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:30 AM, as we host Coffee and Community! Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea while socializing with fellow community members. This month we’ll be joined by Lori Lewis from the Village Hall who will share important information about common scams and how to protect yourself.

Join Miss Arla for a fun storytime and engaging lessons about kindness, manners, and making new friends. Perfect for ages 2–5, with older siblings welcome too!

Master Gardener Volunteers lead a hands-on workshop all about pollinators! Get crafty by making a seed ball with native seeds to take home and discover how to create a simple butterfly puddler to provide essential water sources for pollinators for just $5. Register using the link below,

Bring your gently used Halloween costumes the Deer Creek District Library to swap with other community members. Feel free to drop off your costumes in advance of the swap. Any unclaimed costumes will be donated. Open to all ages.

Zumbini is an early childhood development program focused on music & movement for children ages 0 to 5 years, to attend with their music-loving (Zumba loving!) caregiver(s). Older siblings are welcome. Caregivers must remain present.
Tuesday, September 30 from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Join Nutrition and Wellness Educator, Jenna Smith, for this lesson that will have you reflecting on your snacking behaviors and will help guide you to make smart snacking decisions! Enjoy a food demonstration and take home some new healthy snack recipes. To register, call the library at (309) 447-6724, or sign up in person.

If you are unable to make it during the open hours, don't forget that you have access to lockers outside the library 24/7. You can still request library items and then pick them up from the lockers.
