The Deer Creek Library is excited to announce this year’s summer reading theme: Plant a Seed, Read! In our small, rural community, this theme truly feels right at home.
The iREAD organization shares, "Plant a Seed, Read is rooted in the concept of farm to table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology."
The Deer Creek District Library Summer Reading program will run June 1-26, 2026. Sign-up will start the last week of May 25-29.
