What: Coffee and Community: Celebrating 60 Years of Connection
Join us on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:30 AM, starting March 12th, as we host "Coffee and Community" in celebration of the library's 60th anniversary! Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea while socializing with fellow community members. This ongoing event is designed to foster connections and friendships that make our town feel like home. We look forward to seeing you there! There is no cost to attend.
When: Wednesday, March 12 @ 10:30 a.m. (2nd Wed. of every month)
Where: Deer Creek District Library 205 E. 1st Ave Deer Creek, IL
What: Come by to meet other homeschoolers in the area! Network, share resources, and support one another in all things homeschooling. Fun for all ages!
When: 3rd Tuesday of every month at 10:30AM (Tuesday, Mar. 18)

All ages are welcome. You do not have to be a Deer Creek Library card holder to attend.
What: Immerse yourself in the sensory richness of a garden, where the sights, smells, textures, sounds, and even tastes of plants can deepen your connection to nature. In this workshop, you’ll discover how to choose and incorporate plants that engage all of your senses, creating a more vibrant and therapeutic garden space. Leave with practical ideas to bring sensory experiences into your garden, enhancing your well-being and fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world. There is no cost to attend.
When: Thursday, March 20 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Deer Creek District Library has an interactive story time that includes interactive singing, stories with sign language, and bubbles!
Spring 2025 Storytime is every 1st, 2nd, 3rd (and sometimes 5th) Friday at 10AM from January 17 through May 23 at the Deer Creek District Library. Upcoming dates are March 15th and 21st.
It is for ages 0-5, and older siblings are welcome. The 4th Friday of every month is our Zumbini program led by Michelle Lindee.

Children can participate in a scavenger hunt during the library's open hours starting March 17 and ending two weeks later on March 28. Completed scavenger hunt checklists will receive a fun sticker and be entered into a grand prize drawing of 4 tickets to the Miller Park Zoo!
What: Join us for a special story time where Miss Arla shares a story she created about friends going to the library for the anniversary celebration.
When: Wednesday, March 26 at 10:30 a.m.
Where: Deer Creek District Library, 205 E. First Ave.
Join us for music and movement with our Zumbini Class at the Deer Creek District Library on the 4th Friday of every month through May from 10:30-11:30 a.m.! Upcoming dates are March 28, April 25 and May 23.
WHAT IS ZUMBINI?
Zumbini is an early childhood development program focused on music & movement for children ages 0 to 5 years, to attend with their music-loving (Zumba loving!) caregiver(s). Older siblings are welcome.
There is no fee for this event. Caregivers must remain present. You do not have to have a library card to attend.

If you are unable to make it during the open hours, don't forget that you have access to lockers outside the library 24/7. You can still request library items and then pick them up from the lockers.
