TAKE & MAKE: Recycled Paper Christmas Cards

Monday, December 1 through Friday, December 5

Stop by during open hours to pick up a kit to create your own Christmas card using recycled paper. We’ll have pre-cut circles and tree stumps ready for you to design with. We’d love to see your creations—share them on Facebook or Instagram and tag us! @deercreeklibrary

What: Coffee and Community

Join us for a warm cup and friendly conversation! Enjoy complimentary coffee and tea while connecting with fellow community members.

When: Wednesday, December 10 from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. (2nd Wed. of every month)

Guess How Much Candy!

Monday, December 8 through Friday, December 12

All week long, stop by the library and take your best guess at how much candy is in the container! The person with the closest guess wins the candy and the container. Don’t miss your chance to win a sweet prize!

Zumbini with Michelle Lindee

Friday, December 19 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Zumbini is an early childhood development program focused on music & movement for children ages 0 to 5 years, to attend with their music-loving (Zumba loving!) caregiver(s). Older siblings are welcome. Caregivers must remain present.

Winter Reading Challange

Kids 12 and under can read their way to a reward this Winter Break. Just read 3 books between Dec. 22 and Jan. 2, then turn in your list by Jan. 9 to earn a Texas Roadhouse Kids Meal token. Celebrate the season with great books!

Library Closed - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Closed Tuesday, December 23 through Friday, December 26 for Christmas

Closed Wednesday, December 31 through Thursday, January 1 for New Years

The book drop is available 24/7. You may return Deer Creek Library items, or items from other libraries as well. If you're unable to pick up any book requests by Monday, December 22 or by Tuesday, December 30, please give us a call (309-447-6724) and we can put them in our Pick-up Lockers outside the library. Then you're able to pick up your books at a time that's convenient to you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Monday – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday – 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Wednesday – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Thursday – 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Friday – 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

If you are unable to make it during the open hours, don't forget that you have access to lockers outside the library 24/7. You can still request library items and then pick them up from the lockers.
