A Structural Engineer

I am Dr. Deepak Kumar Singh, a passionate academician and researcher in Structural Engineering with over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and innovation. I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, India, where my work focused on advanced structural analysis, stiffened plates, lock gate structures, and finite element modelling (FEM).

My research explores structural dynamics, vibration analysis, and fluid-structure interaction—critical areas in the design of resilient and efficient infrastructure. I have published 18+ peer-reviewed articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals, co-edited two Springer books, and presented at over 20 national and international conferences. In 2024, I was honoured with the Best Paper Presentation Award at the TRACE International Conference hosted by Amity University Noida.

I actively contribute to innovation and knowledge creation through multiple patents, industrial designs, and copyrights filed with the Indian Patent Office. These cover a wide range of structural and mechanical innovations. In addition to pursuing my own intellectual property, I also guide and assist students, researchers, and faculty members in filing IPRs, turning ideas into protectable innovations.

In 2022, I was invited as a guest lecturer at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia under the Global Learning Program, where I shared insights on FEM and structural modelling.

I’m skilled in tools like ANSYS Workbench, STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and MATLAB, enabling me to model, analyse, and optimise complex structural systems. I also participate as a reviewer and editorial board member for international journals and conferences.

My passion lies in bridging theory and practice, mentoring young minds, and fostering sustainable solutions in civil engineering. I routinely organise and contribute to FDPs, workshops, and student training programs in the field.
