Linear Algebra

Gaussian(- Jordan) elimination with row-reduced echelon form, Vector spaces, Linear transformations, finite-dimensional Inner Product spaces, invariants of matrices (trace, rank, determinant),  Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors, Spectral Theorem for finite-dimensional operators,  Jordan form, Singular value decomposition, matrix factorization, Matrix exponential, least squares, generalized inverses. 

We will have one mid-semester exam, one end-of-semester exam, both will 40% weightage each. We will also have a few quizzes and/or assignments with 20% weightage. 

The end-sem exam will be conducted on 21/11/25. 

The tentative dates for mid-sem exam are either 13/09/25 or 20/09/25. 

The dates for quizzes/assignments are flexible.
