The Dee 3-on-3 Spring League is scheduled for March 16 through April 16, 2026.
The goal of the Dee 3-on-3 Spring League is to give kids an extra month of hockey and have fun. This is not associated with the regular season of hockey or any association. This league is a chance for kids to play with kids they might not get to play with during the regular season and make new friends. It's a chance to play small area games that challenge and improve their skills and hockey I.Q. This is intended to be a fun, no-pressure league.
The Dee 3-on-3 Spring League is organized and run by volunteers. Thank you for your patience and support.
This league would not be possible without our referees. We have zero tolerance for inappropriate comments and/or behavior from the players and the fans. If there is an issue, that person will be asked to leave the rink. This is meant to be FUN for all, including the officials. We will not have NHL scouts in the stands, so there’s no pressure! Please come and watch and have fun.
The league hosts two divisions (10U and 12U). Play will start on Monday, March 16, and end on Thursday, April 16. There will be no games on March 23 through March 26 during Spring Break week.
For 2026
10U division: players with birth years of 2015 and 2016
12U Division: players with birth years of 2013 and 2014
Birth year is the first qualifying criteria. In the event that a division is not filled by the registration closing date, Dee 3-on-3 will consider additional players not meeting the birth year criteria.
TEAMS
Each division will be capped at 48 skaters (eight teams of six players) and eight goalies. Teams will be drafted in an attempt to have teams of equal ability. Depending on the number of registrant and their level of play, league management may move players around to different age divisions if we feel it would benefit the player and the division. We will request permission from the parents before making any moves.
We will put siblings together on the same team (if they are in the same age division) unless a request is made to split them up. We understand that some players want to play together and that participation may depend on a player being paired with another, e.g., transportation needs. We cannot guarantee all requests can be accommodated. Our first priority is to balance the teams as evenly as possible.
Due to the popularity of this format, we typically reach the maximum number of players every year. We will not be accepting registrations of players 2017 and younger. Any registrations received for players who are 2017 and younger will be immediately deleted.
All teams will play two games per night for a total of 14 games, plus at least one game on Championship Night. The first session starts at 5:45 pm, and the second session starts at 7:00 pm (start times subject to change slightly).
10U division is on Tuesday and Thursday
PLEASE NOTE: The 10U Division will play one extra day during the first week. They will play an extra night on 3/18 (6:45 pm to 7:45 pm/8:00 pm to 9:00 pm at HOCO) to make up for a missed session for the Gibson Cup on Apr. 2.
12U division is on Monday and Wednesday
These games will be considered the same as a shinny with no affiliation with an association or USA Hockey. Kids will play at their own risk, and parents are required to sign a waiver before games begin. Players must also agree to adhere to the Dee 3 on 3 Spring League Rules.
Each game will be played cross-ice with two 12-minute periods. Goalies will compete against each other, and scores will be kept separately for them.
The cost for skaters is $95. The cost for goalies is $35. The cost includes four weeks of games (eight sessions), a 3-on-3 jersey that players get to keep, and a pizza party on Championship Day.
The 2026 Dee 3-on-3 League is sponsored by Level Up Apparel Branding Specialists. Please let them know how much you appreciate their support of Dee 3-on-3!
Refunds will be allowed by request to the League organizers by March 9, 2026. No refunds will be issued after that time.
If your player cannot attend any games during the first week, you must notify the League organizers. Failure to do so will result in your player being removed from their roster and their spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. No refunds will be given.
The Dee 3-on-3 league does not have goalie equipment for players to borrow. If you need goalie equipment, please contact your home hockey association.
We need parents to help set up/take down boards halfway through (for a flood) and at the end of each night.
