This article refers to the basic framework of medication administration by exploring the standardized rights of medication administration as well as other important considerations such as withholding medication or questioning orders. This article acts as an important resource for nurses for daily practice to always utilize the rights of medication administration in prevention of medication errors. And, also states nurses have the responsibility to question any part of the administration process to keep their patient's safe. This literature also correlates with the improvement plan for safe medication administration.

This purpose of this article is to study the effectiveness of in-service training of nurses. Research shows that nurses with a continued attendance to in-service trainings exhibited improved quality of patient care. This intervention correlates with the safety improvement plan for in-service medication education training. Nurses could benefit from information in this article by increasing their attendance to on-the-job trainings to stay on top of current practices and empower themselves and other nurses to learn new skills.

This article provides information regarding the use and effectiveness of traditional media such as pamphlets and leaflets. This correlates with the safety improvement plan as one of the interventions and the literature shows that the use of health promotion media in the form of leaflets and posters is still effective in the digital era. This resource is useful for nurses as sometimes there is not always access to digital media and access to traditional media such as these can serve as a helpful tool to prevent medication errors.

This article focuses on the effectiveness of double checking to reduce medication errors. This research is relevant to the improvement plan as this is one of the interventions - double verification of writing the end date in the medication administration record, as it shows that this process can result in fewer errors due to two separate individuals verifying information and independent verification. Use of the two step verification intervention is a useful resource for nurses to use in their daily practice to help reduce medication errors.
