Deception Hockey was founded in 2009. It started as an off ice skills camp for Players of all ages in the Bismarck/Mandan area. As the camp grew we expanded into on ice skills camps and individual lessons. We have served over 500 hockey players from High School down in improving their skills and hockey knowledge. All players attending camp receive instruction and feedback that focuses on them. The proof is in the details with deception hockey. We focus on delivering instruction that other coaches neglect or becomes an oversight during the regular season.

Deception Hockey seeks to improve each players technical skills through quality repetition and correction.

  • How and why: players need to know how and have the technical skill but also need to know why there doing something so they can apply it.

  • High Repetition: Skills and drills must be repeated until muscle memory meets capability to see real change

  • Details: Hockey players must be armed with the necessary detail to understand and execute.
