DebtMate ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application DebtMate.

- Personal Information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and profile pictures of contacts you add
- Transaction Data: Amounts, dates, transaction types, categories, notes, and settlement status
- Financial Information: Currency preferences and transaction amounts
- Device Information: App usage data, preferences, and settings (anonymized through Firebase Analytics)
- Backup Data: If you use Google Drive backup, your data is stored in your Google Drive account
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- Provide core functionality: Track debts, manage contacts, calculate balances, generate reports
- Enable features: Reminders, notifications, QR codes, biometric security, data export/import
- Improve the app: Analyze anonymized usage patterns to enhance user experience
- Support services: Respond to support requests and provide customer assistance
- Backup and restore: Enable Google Drive backup when you choose to use it
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database. We do not transmit your financial data to external servers except when you explicitly choose to back up to Google Drive.
- Google Drive Backup (Optional): If enabled, your data is encrypted and stored in your personal Google Drive account. We do not have access to your Google Drive data.
- Security: Biometric authentication and data encryption protect your information. DebtMate operates as an offline-first app.
5. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:
- With your consent when you export or share data
- With Google Drive when you use backup (subject to Google's privacy policy)
- With service providers (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, RevenueCat) for anonymized analytics and app functionality
- When required by law

DebtMate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
