Online Learning

Online Learning involves Zoom, Google Docs* and/or Blended Learning*. I design a lesson that matches a student's experience with Zoom and Google Docs. I adapt concepts from books described in the other sections of this website to enhance a student's learning experience.

The lessons incorporate the sequence of skills described on this Structured Literacy graphic. Teaching methods from the Orton-Gillingham Approach are also utilized. All the lessons are interactive and match a student's learning challenges and strengths. For more information see the my website's section: "My Approach to Educational Therapy".

In addition to teaching decoding skills, I offer lessons in reading comprehension skills such as inference, text structure, and vocabulary. These are three areas mentioned in the Spring 2016 Issue of "Perspective for Language and Learning Magazine" from the International Dyslexia Association. Some of the material I use are listed on my website's section: "My Approach to Educational Therapy".
