My MLLL 4993 Portfolio

Hello everyone! My name is Deborah, and this is my portfolio of works from the Indian Epics class I'm taking. This site will feature my best written stories, all polished and spruced up for your perusal.

Stories published on my site so far:

Story I - Jataka Restyled - A King's Fitting End - This story is based on the jataka "The Monkey Who Gathered the Lotuses." However, this story has all human characters and also has a prophecy thrown in for good measure.

Story II - The Tale of the Neglected Brother Continues - Bharata's First Conundrum - This story details the story of Bharata's first conundrum (with the focus of his own thoughts) as he reigns while Rama is in exile, and it is inspired by the story of King Solomon in the Bible.

Story III - Happiness Restored - An Alternative Ending to the Dice Game - This story is based on the dice game between Shakuni and Yudhisthira in the Mahabharata, but instead of the very sad ending in the original story, the story has been remade to have a marvelously happy ending.

Story IV - A Sitcom Version of the Mahabharata - This story shares a fictional account of a childhood prank between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, based on a prank that Jim played on Dwight in the TV show, The Office.
