"I was born in Manchester, England.
I came to Spain, specifically the Costa del Sol, with my parents in 1975.
My parents opened the famous souvenir shop, The Bookend, in Torremolinos, selling gifts, souvenirs, and second-hand books.
I sold my first item there, a set of coasters for 100 pesetas (equivalent to 1 pound at the time), in September of 1975.
I met my future wife, Encky, at the beginning of the 1980s. We married in 1987.
On April 1st, 1992, we took the step of opening Deborah's Gifts in Benalmadena Costa."

"I was born in Ardales, Malaga.
Near El Caminito del Rey, which is well worth a visit.
My first jobs were in various establishments in Benalmadena and Torremolinos: Chalet, Champagne Charlie's, or the Rovers Return.
Then, I worked as a manager in the first English video club in Spain, located in Arroyo de la Miel.
I met my future husband, Stephen, at the beginning of the 1980s. We married in 1987.
On April 1st, 1992, we took the step of opening Deborah's Gifts in Benalmadena Costa."
"The Bookend II was established in 1987 by Stephen's parents, located at No. 48 Avenida Antonio Machado, Benalmadena Costa, selling souvenirs, gifts, and second-hand books.
We took over in 1992, changing the commercial name to Deborah's Gifts, but still selling souvenirs, gifts, and second-hand books.
In 1996, we expanded by acquiring the commercial premises next door, giving us over double the floor space, where you can find us today.
Between 1996 and 2004, we owned and managed a second shop on Avenida de la Telefonica, almost opposite Hotel Bali.
From spring 2011 until mid-2017, we owned and managed a shop in Galerias Siroco, next to the BBVA bank.
By 2014, many people were reading on digital devices, so we stopped dealing with second-hand books. Enabling us to dedicate our time and effort to presenting our very popular products
We then opened a third shop between 2014 and 2020, located in Galerias Orquidea, just by the bus stop.
And now we would appreciate your time to visit and browse Deborah's Gifts a much better souvenir store "
