Dr. Debasis Dwibedy is an academic researcher holding the position of Assistant Professor(Senior Grade 2) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE) at the esteemed VIT-AP University, Andhra Pradesh, India. His research interests include online algorithms, semi-online scheduling, online rainbow coloring in graphs, and data analytics.
In addition to academics, he has been serving as a domain expert in several industrial projects related to Scheduling. He has demonstrated expertise in problem formulation, feasibility studies, mathematical modeling, design, and analysis of algorithms. He has contributed two state-of-the-art surveys (ScienceDirect, ACM) articles on online and semi-online scheduling problems in reputed SCI Journals.
Dr. Dwibedy's current research focuses on emerging scheduling problems that arise in offline, online, and semi-online algorithmic frameworks. He is presently working on the development of a Fair-competitive semi-online scheduling framework for automated task delegation in project management. He is also actively investigating the online and semi-online rainbow coloring in graphs.
He received his Ph.D. in Engineering (CSE) from the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (Formerly known as the University College of Engineering), Burla, Odisha. He completed the pre-conference school on algorithms and discrete mathematics at IIT, Kharagpur. He presented scholarly articles at various International conferences organized at IIT Gandhinagar, BITS Pilani, Goa, NIT Silchar, MNIT Jaipur, and IIEST Shibpur, INDIA. He completed his M. Tech in CSE from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India, and B. Tech in CSE from BPUT University, Rourkela, India.
Previously, he held various academic positions in the Dept. CSE at prestigious institutions like Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, VSSUT, Burla, OSOU, Sambalpur, Odisha, and MMU, Ambala, Haryana, India. In the industry, he worked as a Research Consultant (Domain Expert) at Shivam Infosystems, New Delhi, India, as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical HR Executive at Accenture, Gurugram, and as a cybersecurity trainee at NIC Labs, Mohali.
